Good Day Residents

The issue of the Hunt and Polo Club was discussed at the Durbanville Community Forum (DCF) meeting this past Monday. This club as well as the racecourse are an institution and part of our Durbanville heritage. I stand under correction but the racecourse is one of the oldest if not the oldest equestrian course in South Africa.

There seems to be an issue regarding the racecourse and the club and it could mean the end of the club. The DCF does not know what the impact is on the racecourse as a whole. I am inviting the community to an extraordinary meeting held tomorrow at the Hunt and Polo club starting at 20h00.

Members of both the DCF and the Durbanville Heritage Society (DHS) Exco will be attending to find out exactly what the future holds for our landmark.
