Good Day Community
The next Durbanville Community Forum (DCF) meeting will be held this Wednesday the 20th June 2012 in the Durbanville Council Chambers starting at 18h00. The DCF requests that you make a special effort to attend. Durbanville is under attack by gangs targeting our neighborhoods. Crime is rampant. This needs to be discussed and the way forward. I have included the minutes from the 16th May 2012 and the agenda for the upcoming meeting. Thanks.

[Photos] Tremendous support at KHRPA Get-Together
The Kenridge The Hills Ratepayers Association (KHRPA) invited all ratepayers to a get-togetherat the Kenridge duck pond in Door-de-Kraal road. The purpose of the meeting was to makeresidents aware of how important their input is in any proposed developments in the area and thattheir participation can play a major role if they get involved.
Geordie Hogarth, Chairman of the KHRPA, addressed attendees and explained the Voting Formswhere they got the opportunity to decide where they felt available funds should be allocated intheir neighbourhood.
“We are a committee of 12 members, and we don’t want to decide on your behalf – we wantyou to say your say!” Residents were also invited to become members of the association “Weneed to protect our Urban Edge and Public open spaces, and prevent the City’s intention to rezoneerven 39169 and 19170” he said.
Everyone was treated to a boerewors roll and salad, kindly donated by Andrea Crous, Counsellorfor Ward 70. Despite her busy she schedule, she helped with preparation and serving ourcommunity members. Kids were running around, the elderly had serious discussions on the goodold days, and new home-owners were astounded by the hospitality and felt proud being part ofthis wonderful community!
Geordie Hogarth and the committee wish to thank each and everyone who made this event a hugesuccess and for taking the time to support us in our mission to maintain our beautiful area for eachand everyone living here!”
